iSurfTV Welcomes Former EchoStar Executive to its Advisory Board
Sunnyvale, CA (May 14, 2001) - iSurfTV, a developer of next-generation technologies for the emergent interactive television industry, today announced the appointment of Richard E. ("Dick") Johnson to its technical advisory board. Mr. Johnson will advise the company in its efforts to deploy its technologies.
Mr. Johnson brings to iSurfTV more than 25 years of engineering and management experience in the design, development and manufacture of communications, computer and electro-mechanical products. Prior to joining iSurfTV's advisory board, he served as Vice President of Advanced Development at EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) where he was responsible for the system architecture of the DISH network. Previously he was Vice President of Chaparral Communications where he was responsible for the development and engineering of all Chaparral's satellite receivers and consumer electronic products.
