iMagicTV and Motorola Join Forces in Strategic Business Alliance
SAINT JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA - February 15, 2000 - iMagicTV today announced it has signed a strategic business alliance with Motorola Inc., through its Semiconductor Products Sector. Under the terms of the alliance, both iMagicTV and Motorola will engage in joint marketing, promotion, sales and product development activities to further the digital TV over broadband marketplace.
This agreement provides for joint marketing by both parties for the promotion of the complimentary products consisting of Motorola's Streamaster interactive multimedia architecture and iMagicTV's interactive television over broadband delivery and management software, DTV Manager.
"Streamaster offers an innovative and powerful solution to help us deliver television features such as digital television, pay-per-view, Video-on-Demand, gaming and e-commerce that are so much in demand by consumers," said Marcel LeBrun, president and CEO of iMagicTV. "This agreement will enable Motorola and iMagicTV to more effectively develop our products to work seamlessly together so that telecommunications companies (telcos) can deploy competitive television services to their customers."

Motorola's Streamaster architecture offers the services, system solutions, and video communications and entertainment expertise to allow operators to penetrate the converging market of the new millennium.
"The combination of iMagicTV's DTV Manager and Motorola's Streamaster technology is powerful for telecommunications companies around the world looking for profitable, easy and fast ways to deliver interactive digital TV services to consumers," said Jacqueline Beauchamp, General Manager of Motorola's Multimedia Systems Division.
