The CNET article is really about Veba, Enikia, and Oneline being "close to launching a service offering high-speed Internet access over power lines." Towards the end of the article, CNET reports, "Also working in the United States is dark horse Media Fusion, a Texas start-up.... The company was recently awarded a patent on its technology, and says it is looking to demonstrate the transmission of high-definition television signals (HDTV) over the electrical network by early summer along with Dallas, Texas-based TV conglomerate Belo." CNET notes that there is some skepticism about HDTV being transmitted over electrical power lines. -

Chanda as stating, "We see a lot of interesting digital functionalities being added to different set-top boxes, for example, the ability to digitally record programs simply using a hard drive that a company like TiVo, for example, provides, and possibly the ability to become a platform for the TV home page of the consumer.
