AOL Anywhere For Accessing Video-On-Demand Movies: AOL Time Warner CEO Gerald Levin wants to put every movie ever
made on a whole bunch of servers and provide broadband video-on-demand to any device (15MAY01) (SCMP)
In covering last week's Fortune Global Forum in Hong Kong,
the South China Morning Post (SCMP) quotes AOL Time Warner CEO Gerald Levin as stating, "What I would like to do is to put
every movie ever made on a whole bunch of servers, broadband access not just to your PCs but also to all kinds of mobile devices
and we have video-on-demand. You can pick which movie you want to watch, when you want to watch it and where you want to
watch it. That's the ultimate in consumer choice and freedom. You can do the same with music, music videos, even books. We
are just waiting for this to happen. I think we are in the first innings now." Unless you were watching Jay Leno or David Letterman
last week, this particular session was broadcast last week on PBS's Charlie Rose show.
